AS part of its continuing pandemic response, BDO Foundation joined forces with other corporate foundations, non-governmental organizations, and government agencies to support a private sector initiative that aims to provide financial assistance for nurses.
The corporate social responsibility arm of BDO Unibank contributed to the Project Balik Buhay Salary and Bonus Assistance for our Bidas (PBB SalBaBida) Program in response to the recent rise in COVID-19 cases caused by the highly transmissible Delta variant.
Backed by the Department of Health and Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas, the PBB SalBaBida Program gave financial incentives to nurses in Cebu in recognition of their noble work of caring for COVID-19 patients.
In an event in Mandaue City witnessed by BDO Visayas and Mindanao region head Cyrus Polloso, the first tranche of monthly allowances was turned over to beneficiaries.
The beneficiary-nurses are stationed in PBB partner-hospitals in Cebu, which include Adventist Hospital, ARC Hospital, Cebu Doctors University Hospital Group, Cebu Velez General Hospital, Chong Hua Hospitals, Maayo Well, Perpetual Succour Hospital, Southwestern University Medical Center, St. Vincent General Hospital, and Visayas Community Medical Center.
