THE city government is hoping to achieve its target of 150,000 vaccinees for the three vaccination spree that ends today.
Dr. Josephine Villafuerte, City Vaccination Cluster head, said that based on the first day of the rollout, there is a big possibility that the target of about 50,000 vaccinees a day could be achieved.
“Halos tanan sites puno. Up to this time naa pay gi-vaccinate (Almost all sites are full. Up to this time, there are still people being vaccinated,” Villafuerte said Monday.
Angel Sumagaysay, Public Safety and Security Command (PSSC) head, also said that his office has increased the number of personnel deployed to vaccination sites to ensure that the activity is orderly.
The PSSC are tasked to ensure that minimum health standards like physical distancing and wearing of masks are followed.
Interested residents should bring their identification documents and the quick response code when they visit the vaccination sites, the officials said.
For those who are between 12 and 17 years old, they should also bringing their birth certificates, identification cards, identification cards of their parents or guardians and barangay certificates or special power of attorney of their guardians when they visit the vaccination sites.
Yesterday, the city council under the Office of Vice Mayor Sebastian Duterte also held a vaccination rollout at the Malabog Elementary School and that BArangay Datu Salumay in Marilog.
Mayor Sara Duterte on Monday expressed her optimism that the city government will be able to hit its target.
“Now that we are a few numbers away from achieving herd immunity, we are hopeful that this may contribute to a smoother sailing transition to new normal,” the mayor said.
